报告摘要:

Research in genetics and molecular biology has led to a much better understanding of the mechanism behind blood cancers such as acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). New drugs have been developed that target specific cancer-related mechanisms. These drugs are often effective but resistance to therapy limits their benefits. In my talk I will discuss our research where computational methods (molecular dynamics simulations, DFT calculations and energy decomposition analysis) were used for a better understanding of the molecular mechanism behind AML and why certain drugs work (or not).


报告人简介:

    Ran Friedman,瑞典林奈大学教授,于2006年获以色列特拉维夫大学博士学位,2006-2010年在苏黎世大学进行博士后研究工作,先后到特拉维夫大学和林奈大学任教,是The Journal of Membrane Biology (Springer)的副主编、Israel Journal of Chemistry的客座编辑等,发表论文80余篇。
